I have a story rec, but y'all probably already read it since I'm coming so late to the Supernatural fandom.
Anyway, if you somehow haven't read it: Living Conditions by Sweet Chi is the latest recommend. There are strong things when it comes to the character interactions: Buffy, Angel, Spike, Sam and Faith are right on.
I also like Dean - but we don't get enough of him. I started out disliking Dawnie's handling, but she gets redeemed after a heart to heart with her sister, so it's all good.
I think the only thing I'm not fully on board with is Angel swooping in and short circuiting Sam's entire plot arc with the Yellow Eyed Demon with relative ease. I'm not disliking it, since the goal was to have Buffy/Sam getting a happy ending but I kind of wish the story had gone on as a series in which everyone would have been forced to really deal with Sam's powers. Even better, would have been to have the story take place after W & H's implosion, so that their resources wouldn't have been a factor, but I'm still really happy with the writing and general plot arc.
