Do you suffer from occasional or frequent insomnia? Do you have any special tricks or remedies? How does it impact your life?
All you have to do is read my blog semi-regularly to catch a rant about insomnia. I've had it all of my life - I remember being in grade school and spending most of the night awake tossing and turning. And, now it seems to be getting worse the older I get. Of course, that may be partially my sleep schedule now. It's hard enough as it is to sleep during the day (I am a midnight worker) without the added inconvenience of being an insomnia sufferer.
Thank modern science for Zolpidem or I think I might literally have gone insane by now. It's a mini-Hell to go days, quite literally, on less than two hours of sleep. I've tried warm milk and while it works occasionally if I'm already exhausted, it isn't anything like reliable. Ditto for OTC sleep aids - they work for one or two days, but then leave me lying exhausted, awake, and drugged up all day.
