Chapter 20 of Rebuilding has been posted to the spanderverse community. In Darker Turns, Giles begins to realize that things are not well with his girls... Tara, Willow and Dawn are all looking haggard and there's some sort of tension between the witches.
Later on patrol, Spike has a heart to dead-heart talk with Tara about that upsetting night with Hyena.
(During the S6 of Buffy, I always thought ME missed an opportunity for an unusual friendship between Tara and Spike. They're so opposite in personality, and yet she was such an understanding character, it seems like they really could have clicked.)
In chapter 22 of Rebuilding: Now that Spike knows who is gunning for him, we find out the history of his relationship with Vanessa. She, in the meantime, finally decides what she wants to do about him.
At Dawn's, Willow continues being an irritable bitca as her mind isn't on anything but Buffy.
The search for Dawn begins as she finds herself imprisoned by Vanessa. Hyena extracts a promise from Xander. Buffybot tells Giles that Joyce or Buffy are needed to deal with Dawn. Spike comes under attack by the vampire housewives again.
The heart-broken gang surround Dawn's bed and await for her to awaken from her undead slumber. Spike strongly suggests to Xander that its time for him to move on if only for the gang's future safety. It's nothing Xan is interested in hearing.
The last story I have completed is now posted to spanderverse. I'm not sure when I'll have a new story, unfortunately. I have a few scenes in mind, but not enough to string them into a coherent story. With so much of S6 of Buffy not occurring in Spanderverse (including the magic as crack metaphor) I need to do some serious work on some original plots... obviously not a strong suit, judging by my lack of success thus far. Spanderverse was easier to this point since I had the entire Riley/Glory/Key/Joyce basic elements already in place and I just needed to re-work them.
I'm going to use my down time at work to plot out a "season" starting with the character developments and then going back to working on various bad guy threats, but I don't know how long this will take or how successful I'll be. I certainly don't want to end the series with Dawn. I'll keep you posted:
Day to Day - This is a single chapter story dealing with what's going on in Dawn's head after her miraculous recovery from her encounter with Vanessa Reston.
